Modern and Intimate Courthouse Elopement
This courthouse elopement features fabulous details, rooftop cocktails and private vows!
Marilyn and Jack chose to put a spin on eloping at the court house by having their friends be their witnesses, and celebrating with cocktails at the rooftop at the Hewing Hotel. They loved getting to spend the whole day celebrating together doing their favorite things around town, without the traditional pressures of larger weddings.
These two decided to get ready together at their home in Minneapolis with their pup. Getting ready together made things easier for them and is an easy way to have some moments of closeness right away. I even recommend to couples having larger weddings to get ready together, or at least have a moment before the big day together!
Marilyn’s fabulous gloves she ordered the week of, online. Love how they elevate her look!
The ceremony was a quick but intentional moment to the day, and their two witnesses were super excited for them to celebrate and finally get married. These two had been together a long time, and it was clear their friends were very excited for them.
After, we took some couples portraits with the Minneapolis skyline.
After the ceremony, they took some photos with their witneses and celebrated with them at the rooftop of the Hewing Hotel in Minneapolis. It has a great skyline view of the city and great fun cocktails. People loved coming over and saying congratulations and Marilyn and Jack toasted to their futures together.
Because city hall required them to read the official vows, Marilyn and Jack chose to write their own vows and recited them to eachother privately. We walked around North Loop and found this secluded brick wall for them to have their moment together.
